Gemini brings advanced generative AI models to popular apps like Docs, Gmail, and Slides. Key features include:

  • Gemini Education: An affordable option that helps educational institutions begin using generative AI in Workspace. It includes a monthly usage limit for administrators to track usage patterns within their domain.
  • Gemini Education Premium: This add-on encompasses all the features of Gemini Education, plus advanced tools like AI-powered note-taking and summaries in Meet, as well as enhanced data loss prevention.

How Educators Are Using Gemini

Educators have quickly adopted Gemini to improve their daily workflows. Examples include:

  • Document Creation: Gemini in Docs efficiently creates content ranging from lesson plan templates to grant proposals.

Starting May 23rd, educational institutions can add Gemini for Google Workspace to their existing Workspace for Education edition. Gemini will be available to teen students in over 100 countries who use Workspace for Education accounts.
